ArrowTour is one of the initiatives that comprise a year-long celebration of the Order of the Arrow’s centennial anniversary. ArrowTour will provide opportunities to reflect, connect, and discover the order’s centuries of service, both past and future. The Heart of Ohio Council is excited to partner with the National Order of the Arrow to provide this exciting program at Firelands Scout Reservation during our Boy Scout Summer Camp.
What a great time to be a member of the Boy Scout of America’s National Honor Society, the Order of the Arrow. We celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America, just a few years ago. We celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Heart of Ohio Council in 2014. We will be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Portage Lodge in 2016, but more importantly, we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Order this year. The National Order of the Arrow Committee is planning a party like we have never seen and will not see again for another 100 years.
The Heart of Ohio Council and Portage Lodge would like to invite all Arrowmen, their families, Alumni, Cub Scouts & Boy Scouts, and our neighbor Lodges to come experience this exciting one time tour. Portage Lodge is fortunate to have been chosen to host this National 100th Anniversary event at our very own camp, Firelands Scout Reservation, on July 13th. This honor was bestowed only upon select Councils/Lodges and we count ourselves not worthy, but with your help and support we will do our best to live up to the expectation of being one of the best in the nation.
We look forward to seeing you on July 13 at Firelands Scout Reservation with this stop along the ArrowTour where we will announce the recipients of the prestigious Centurion Award and as we make our way to the 100th anniversary of the Order of the Arrow at Michigan State University for NOAC 2015, as we do our part in helping celebrate Brotherhood, Service, and Cheerfulness as of the Order of the Arrow, the BSA’s National Honor Society.
And So Much More
